2W with Miss Wills Welcome back to term 3 of 2009. This year is certainly going fast! Once Upon a Time… We have been very busy in 2W focussing on Fairy Tales and learning about narratives. So far we have learnt about Rapunzel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Gingerbread Man and Sleeping Beauty. The children in 2W are working towards writing their own fairy tale using their knowledge of narratives to create a setting, characters, beginning, problem and resolution. Also we will soon be casting the roles for our class production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs…stay tuned for performance dates!
Let's Go Camping! In conclusion to our camping unit, Let's Go Camping!, we had a day camp on the junior oval. Everyone had a fantastic time as we went on a treasure hunt, set up our campsite, played camping games and had a sausage sizzle. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day!
Homework Homework is sent home each Monday and is due back the following Friday. This term our class has a matrix of activities to complete throughout the term. In addition to this we practice our spelling words each week. If you would like to extend our child's spelling practice try some of these activities:
