The Home Learning Policy is a plan that each school has in place should the school be forced to close for a prolonged period of time. Examples of this situation could include adverse weather events, or public health directions related to COVID-19. Should Maryborough Central SS need to close, parents will be notified via SMS and email with as much notice as possible.
Parents will be advised to access online learning for the first two days and then the school will be required to enact their home learning policy. Our plan at Central is to provide families with paper- based learning, in the form of booklets, which aligns with current unit planning, allowing for continuity of learning once students return to school.
Teachers will remain accessible via phone and email, in order to support parents and students. Additional support for home learning can be found at the Department of Education, Queensland website: Learning@home .
