Welcome to Maryborough Central State School

Our students' job is to learn and  every teachers' job is to teach. Central staff and I are always keen to evaluate and improve on our practices. We constantly monitor the progress of student learning and the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.

Our focus remains squarely on the improvement of students' reading abilities. Staff training and collaborative planning, supported by our Literacy Coach, are important aspects of supporting students to do their best learning.

This year, we will continue to work with and to embed our school's pedagogical framework, based on the Art and Science of Teaching (ASOT); and C2C, Queensland Education's resources aligned to the National Curriculum (ACARA). We are making solid progress with the implementation of the Positive Behaviour for Learning framework, including the Reboot social and emotional resilience program.  The aim of both of these initiatives is to buy back quality teaching time, thus ensuring improved learning outcomes for our students.

Congratulations to our 2018 P&C Committee members.
